Framed on all sides by wild, abundant foliage, this quiet pool has a powerful allure. It is a blessed haven of paradise in an otherwise unforgiving landscape. The only constant source of spring-fed water in Karijini, it simultaneously births and sustains the array of life attracted to its oasis. Bats slumber in the shady, overhanging branches, birds flock to bathe in the waterfall’s cascade, and schools of fish swim lazily in the deep, cool pool. This work was inspired by the incredible concert of nature drawn to this sacred place, all coming together to create a magical wild symphony.
